There is so much happening. There's a part of me that feels like documenting everything and telling other people makes it more real, but really it just makes everything feel further away. It's another story, like that ridiculous weekend in Providence, the giant cake, Cinderella. oh well.
There are some things I have found to be true. Most of them I admit with a sigh.
-Cynicism isn't revolutionary (a quote from someone.) But it is frustrating.
-It is so easy to be dismissive of other people's doings. It is much harder to do things yourself.
-People who run businesses are so rarely looking out for their employees.
-I'm probably definitely not as badass as I like to imagine.
-It is difficult to convince people, oneself included (probably especially), that being an artist is an acceptable way to live
-there are no answers or perfect solutions.
There are also some things I have found to be awesome. Some are newly discovered, some are an older secret love that I'm only now willing to admit to loving.
-pistachio ice cream
-boxing (but not MMA or UFC)
-rumi's poetry
-adventure time/regular show/the amazing world of gumball
Don't let anyone tell you that frustration is useless (camp. stupid awesome movie.) It has led to some awesome things. like a thing i just made that will probably embarrass and empower me.
